We took part in the school 7-a side football match with 12 people a team. Our team name is Heineken... kinda weird name. Anyway, it rained heavily that day. I didn't want to play since it was raining ... but I still played anway. I didn't play on the first match but only join in on the second match.
The ground was all muddy. Slipery and yet dirty. I'm so afraid of getting myself dirty because of the mud. It's totally disgusting but nevermind. The ground was slipery and hard to run on, so i didn't really run to chase the ball. One thing that I didn't expect it would happen, that is, getting myself injured, but I broke my ankle in that match.
I was on the field like .... about 5 minutes ? The ball landed infront of me and when I wanted to go get the ball, the opponent's striker suddenly run so fast towards me. To prevent the opponent from snatching away the ball, I kick it hard ... hard enough to get my own ankle broken....
Well ... it was like this... when I kicked the ball, that bastard that ran towards me kicked it too. Sadly, my leg strengh is no match for that guy... and he has extra force because he was running so fast ... and I was just standing there and kick.My left leg slipped infront and my right leg was trapped by the ball and that bastard's leg. So like that ... I heard a 'crack' sound from my leg. At first I thought I was fine and try to chase that bastard again... But when I wanted to run and start to move my legs ... I can totally feel the pain coming . I can't even move my right leg that time... it was so pain. Then I lowered my body and try to grab and put some pressure on my leg. Raymond saw me and asked if I'm ok. Then I told him that maybe I can't run anymore. Ok ... subsitude player.
I tried my best walk to beside and sit down to watch them play. I took off my shoe and saw my leg swell like hell. sigh ... I looked so uncool .... went to the field not more than 10 minutes and got myself injured.... it was the rain's fault. If I can just prevent my left leg from slipping to the front when that bastard kicked the ball ... then my right leg would be fine. What a nice birthday gift it was .... oh ... forgot to mention. That day was my birthday too.
